The BIOPLA project concludes

The BIOPLA project (Biological recycling of waste rice straw from the Valencia region by lactic acid fermentation and subsequent polymerisation to polylactic acid) is completed.

The process already developed is a totally ecological alternative to use vegetable waste, such as rice straw, which is very abundant in the Valencia region, for processing into bioplastic.
